DESIGN CONCEPT:

This custom home was designed within an established neighborhood, surrounded by mature trees, but also neighboring houses and a busy street. The goal was to create private outdoor living spaces and carefully curated views from the inside.

The backyard is gathered around a large courtyard area with a pool, screened porches, and multiple gardens, which offers private views to the interior spaces that open up to this area. In the front of the house, a raised courtyard garden provides privacy from the street and access to outside from the living room and bedrooms located on that side of the house.

The home is cladded in Thermowood, with use of brick and concrete as grounding materials. These timeless, natural materials in the exterior of the home let the focus stay on the landscaping and nature around the home, creating a serene feel throughout the home.
