This custom home was designed for the Waterford Community, which is a peaceful slice of modern country living, located in the East Side of Greenville, SC.

The design aesthetics for the community was created by taking elements from traditional buildings of the region, such as farmhouses, country estates and homesteads, combined with the simplicity and clean lines of modern design.

The main design features for this home include emphasis on private outdoor living spaces and seamless indoor/outdoor integration, as well as open concepts that maximizes natural light inside the the home.

The private backyard living area gathered around a pool works as a focal point for this home, and it’s connected to the main indoor living spaces via expansive window walls and sliding doors. To frame the outdoor living area and give it privacy, a covered living space with a custom outdoor kitchen was designed on one side, and a pool house & spa on the other side. The spa features a steam room addition to a traditional sauna, and it’s all connected to the pool area as well as a home gym.

The material and color palette for the whole project is moody and cozy, creating a cohesive feel throughout the spaces.
